AN EVIDENCE BASED FRAMEWORK

The 11 Principles of Effective Character Education were developed nearly 25 years ago by leading researchers as a comprehensive framework for assessing and improving the culture and climate of schools.

Since then, they have been used by thousands of educators across the nation to assess and validate character in their schools. The 11 Principles provide a way to:

  • Assess your own personal character values
  • Implement character initiatives at your school
  • Validate your school's character initiatives
  • Create positive working environments, teams and interpersonal relationships.
